Classes with Tanaya
Hello my yoga friends!
I hope you're all hanging in there and staying healthy as we quarantine ourselves for the good of our community. At this point, I'm unsure of when we can start our classes, so I plan to offer LIVE-STREAMING classes starting using the free app Zoom. This means you get the same great yoga, the same awesome classmates (and hopefully a few new friends), but in the comfort of your own home!
I understand that there are lots of fitness videos out there, but the benefit of joining a SpringStone LIVE class is that you can maintain accountability AND share some social time while at a safe social distance. You will have the option for me to see YOU as we move, and we will spend a few minutes sharing experiences before class to build connections. Please tell your friends!
Here are the details:
All classes will start at our usual start times and last 60-minutes.
Classes will be teleconferenced using the free Zoom app.

Each class is $10 and must be paid for online here or through Venmo (@Tanaya-Larsen).
If you've already paid for upcoming classes or I have your card on file, I'll credit your account.
Sign on to class 10-15 minutes before we start. You may use the link from the invite or join by using the info below. (You may be in a virtual waiting room).

To keep things simple, this meeting ID will be the same for all classes. I will take attendance and not allow anyone to join after we begin.

You will receive a link to the video for replaying at anytime (even if you didn't make it to the class!)
First, take a deep breath. Sometimes seeing yourself on a screen is unnerving and you can start to get critical of yourself. This will be a good exercise in accepting yourself. It may be a little uncomfortable, but just know that you are amazing and accepted the way you are right now.
Make sure your electronic device is charged before our session.
Turn on “do not disturb” or turn off any alerts on your computer that will make noise or distract you.
Set up the computer/phone/device in the space you would like to do your call in and check to make sure you have the angle needed to capture your mat and body seated and standing. Find something to prop it up on if needed. To ensure I can see you, the best spot for your camera is at a diagonal from the front short side and long side corner of the mat. If space allows, set it so I can see most of you both seated and standing.
Grab a couple of pillows, two blankets or towels, a belt, scarf, or yoga strap, and have a chair, wall, or table close. If you don't have a set of blocks, large books or cans of soup work.
Please download and install Zoom. Follow the prompts and go through all the set up steps before our meeting. I’m available to test anytime. Go to New Meeting>Start a meeting>Participants>Invite>Send Message>801-691-3339 (this is my cell).If I’m available, I’ll join and we can test things out. Take a couple of minutes to play around with the program so you have an idea of how to use it and make sure your camera/mic work.
I am also available for virtual private sessions at a discounted rate of $50/hour. You are welcome to invite the family to join you (even if they are far away...that's right. We can invite up to 4 people from different locations to join us for a virtual yoga party)!

Combine breath, movement, and intention to open the body and calm the mind. Each class blends alignment with gentle flowing sequences to promote strength, balance, flexibility, and relaxation.
GENTLE classes are slower with longer periods spent on working into poses; great for those new to yoga, healing from an injury, or looking for a calming practice.
ACTIVE classes include more movement, with options to challenge participants at their individual level. Appropriate for all levels.
SUNRISE Yoga (active) will wake both the mind and body to prepare you for the day. Be prepared to move, open, strengthen, and stretch with a fun flow and a few challenges!
PRENATAL: Connect with body, baby, and a community of moms-to-be while working to alleviate the discomforts of pregnancy. Classes are gentle and appropriate for all stages of pregnancy. Consult your doctor prior to class if high-risk pregnancy.

Tanaya truly believes that yoga is for every body regardless of flexibility, experience, age, or injury. Her love for yoga developed once seeing the progress it made on her stiff body and the complimentary nature it brought to her running routine and, soon after, her life. She completed her Yoga Alliance certification in 2010 in Boulder, Colorado, where she taught for five years before moving to Nashville and now Rome. Tanaya holds a degree in Exercise Science and spent ten years working in various fields of health promotion. She is certified in both Kids Yoga (Cosmic Kids) and Geronotology, and has worked with individuals from ages 1-91! Tanaya’s approach to teaching is playful and creative, with classes designed to help students move safely and mindfully to create space in both body and mind. Expect to be challenged, but have fun!
